Fish larvae were identified by species and measured for lengths. Sampling was conducted over a fixed sampling grid, on a monthly basis (January-June) for years 1995-1999. The MOCNESS-1 plankton sampler has nine rectangular nets (1m x 1.4m) with a mesh size of 0.333 mm, which are opened and closed sequentially by commands through conducting cable from the surface. When towed at 45 degrees, the net mouth has a 1 square meter sampling area. Note: The list of taxonomic names reported in the keywords section reflects only those species that are of commerical interest. The complete list of organisms identified is too time-consuming to compile and report here in total.
